The National Association of REALTORS® is expanding academic achievement opportunities to members through an agreement with Columbia College in Columbia, Missouri. The new NAR Academy at Columbia College will provide members with financial assistance who enroll in pursuit of academic degree completion for certificates, associates, bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the NAR Academy.

Columbia College is an ideal partner for the NAR Academy given its successful legacy of providing high-quality distance-learning degree completion programs to military and working professionals, and is second-to-none in their recognition of credit-for-work experience.

With the agreement, Columbia College will become the exclusive higher-education partner for more than 1.4 million NAR members, providing opportunities for them to complete a variety of associate, bachelor’s and master’s degrees, including real estate-specific offerings anticipated in late spring 2020. For its planned master’s program with a real estate emphasis, Columbia College will build on the award-winning curriculum developed by REALTOR® University.

The NAR Academy at Columbia College marks the successful realization of the REALTOR® University vision. With the graduation of all active Master of Real Estate program students, and with the sharing of the curriculum with Columbia College, REALTOR® University has officially discontinued its master’s program, and provided opportunity for interested members to enroll in the NAR Academy at Columbia College as a member benefit. NAR Academy includes business degrees and programs in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Management, Marketing, Organizational Leadership and Human Resource Management and, in the future, is anticipated to include real estate specific certificates, an associate’s degree in real estate, and a bachelor’s degree in real estate, and is inclusive of the courses serving as degree requirements and required electives counting toward a degree or program.

NAR members that enroll in the NAR Academy at Columbia College can receive $100 per eligible course in financial support from the Center for Specialized REALTOR® Education (CSRE). CSRE is NAR’s wholly owned subsidiary that creates and facilitates educational programs in real estate.
