2021 Program Overview
The 2021 AE Institute was planned by your AE peers and is built around networking and collaboration breaks so you can reconnect with your AE peers and renew your AE relationships. AEI will reignite and reconnect you to your circle and give you the same energy you feel after having attended the live event. 2021 is all about being connected, being yourself, and being ready. We can’t wait to welcome you to the 2021 virtual AEI!
Monday, March 22 – Be Connected
The virtual AE Institute will kick off with a keynote from invited speaker, astronaut Scott Kelly. NAR President Charlie Oppler and CEO Bob Goldberg will provide a welcome, followed by education sessions covering topics such as governing virtually, getting your messages to “stick” with your members, and defining culture for your association. The day will end with roundtable discussions so you can restore your AE network.
Tuesday, March 23 – Be Yourself
This day is devoted to the diversity, equity, and inclusion discussion. Examine the historical context of racial bias in the REALTOR® family, as well as how implicit bias affects our day-to-day interactions. There will also be a Legal Update from General Counsel Katie Johnson. The day will end with a special keynote address.
Wednesday, March 24 – Be Ready
Start thinking about what you need to do to make 2021 awesome! The day will start with a REALTOR® Party update on the country’s political future, followed by Chief Economist Lawrence Yun’s 2021 economic update. Then participate in sessions that can help you revamp your association strategic plan, use data to make tough decisions, and have difficult conversations with staff. We’ll end the virtual AE Institute on a high note with closing keynote speaker Neil Pasricha, author of The Book of Awesome and You Are Awesome.
