At Home With Diversity: 2014 Course Changes

Changes are coming in 2014 to the At Home With Diversity course. Read on to learn about changes to process, course sponsorship, applications, and fees.

For Sponsors

Starting Jan. 1, 2014, sponsors will need to pay a $30-per-student royalty fee for the At Home With Diversity course. There will be no course offering fee of $150, just the $30-per-student royalty fee. The majority of NAR courses follow this model.

Sponsors must hold a valid license in order to offer the AHWD Course. Sponsors can use either a REBAC license or an individual AHWD License. The individual license will allow you to hold the course as many times as you'd like for two years for $150. If your individual sponsorship agreement overlaps 2013 and 2014, you will follow the $150 Course Offering fee until the end of 2013.

If you would like to know the status of your sponsorship agreement, obtain a copy of your agreement, obtain an updated agreement, or renew your license, please email ahwd@realtors.org.

The Course Sponsorship, Fee Changes and Application Process changes will not go into effect until 2014. If you would like to hold a course in 2013 for $150, please fill out the Course Offering Notification Form and send it to ahwd@realtors.org.

For Students

Starting Jan. 1, 2014, there will be an application process in order to obtain the AHWD Certification that includes a one-time application fee of $49.

Our goal is to maintain the integrity of the AHWD Certification as well as cater to the growing cadre of instructors and their training.

In the meantime, if you have any questions, please email ahwd@realtors.org.
