Founded in 1923, the National Association of REALTORS® Library offers a variety of research services and thousands of print and digital resources for use by NAR members and state and local association staff.
Topics covered include residential and commercial real estate, sales and marketing, property management, appraisal, land use and development, association management, finance and economics, technology, general business, personal growth, and more in a variety of formats:

Your Library Account
Everyone is welcome to search the Library Catalog but only REALTORS® and association staff may borrow materials from the collection. Use your nar.realtor username and password to login.
Borrowing Materials From Our Print Collection
Check out print materials by logging in to our Library Catalog using your nar.realtor username and password, and place a hold on the item(s) you wish to check out. A librarian will contact you within one business day to confirm your mailing address.
NAR members may check out up to three items at a time for a 30-day period, with the option to renew if no other members have placed a hold request for the items. Items will be shipped via FedEx, and a prepaid return label will be enclosed.
Borrowing Materials From Our eBooks Collection
To check out electronic and audio books or reports from our eBooks collection, log in to our eBooks site with your nar.realtor username and password. Be sure to select “National Association of REALTORS®” as your primary library in the drop-down menu on the sign-in page.
Check out up to six items at a time. Most items can be borrowed for up to 21 days—lending periods can be customized in your eBooks Account after signing in.

Requesting Articles and Accessing EBSCO
NAR members may request to receive articles from any of the 150+ journals, newsletters, and magazines in the Library’s print collection. Contact us via this form or call 800-874-6500 to request an article. Please provide as much detail as possible (title, author, source, date, etc.).
NAR also provides members with free access to EBSCO, a database of hundreds of business journals, newsletters, and other periodicals. Sign in to EBSCO using your nar.realtor username and password, then search for a topic, find a specific article, or browse issues of a publication. Create a My EBSCOhost account to save articles, set up email alerts and RSS feeds, and other customized features. Contact the Library by email or call 800-874-6500 for assistance in accessing EBSCO.
Non-members may request to receive articles from any of the 150+ journals, newsletters, and magazines in the Library’s print collection. Request up to eight articles for a $50 service fee; $10 per article thereafter. Contact us via this form or call 800-874-6500 to request an article. Please provide as much detail as possible (title, author, source, date, etc.).
Research Services
Quick reference service is available to NAR members as a member benefit at no extra cost. Answers to quick reference requests may include statistical data, links to online resources, or other material, usually within a turnaround time of 30 minutes or less.
For more in-depth research needs, the NAR Library staff offers a custom research service as a member benefit at no extra cost. A librarian will provide a summary highlighting answers to your question along with a list of relevant articles, reports, links, and other sources where they found the information. The service has a normal turnaround time of two to four business days.

Reference service is available to non-members for a fee of $125 per hour, with a turnaround time of 3-5 business days. Rush research service is also available to non-members for an additional $50 fee, with a turnaround time of two business days.
