REALTOR® Wins Drone Permission

Douglas Trudeau, of Tierra Antigua Realty in Tuscon AZ , received permission from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to use Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), a.k.a. drones, to create marketing videos to sell property.  Currently, the FAA prohibits the use of drones for any commercial purpose without their permission.  While Trudeau has to comply with the requirements set out for him by the FAA, NAR is heartened that this represents a positive step by the FAA toward future waiver petitions and small UAV regulation generally.
