2020 Profile of International Transactions in U.S. Residential Real Estate (National Association of REALTORS®, Aug. 2020)
- 50% of foreign buyers purchased the property as a primary residence and paid a median price of $314,600.
- Foreign buyers from five countries continued to account for most of the reported purchases: China (12 percent), Canada (12 percent), Mexico (9 percent), India (6 percent), and Colombia (4).
- The major destinations for foreign buyers are Florida (22 percent), California (15 percent), Texas (9 percent), New York (5 percent) and New Jersey (4 percent).
