How do you manage your work/life balance?
I left my job as a petroleum geologist to start a special needs animal sanctuary, but was really bad at asking for money and doing fundraisers. After I ran out of savings, I realized I could earn more per hour doing something other than knocking on doors for donations. I thought, “Why can't a nonprofit be funded by for profit business?” So I became a REALTOR® and now I have a profitable brokerage that funds my sanctuary, called Pure Mutts Animal Sanctuary.
