Monday Minute - Week of September 4, 2017

Both the Senate and House are back in session this week after the August Recess and will be focusing on several issues of importance to REALTORS®.

Health care: The Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee and the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee are both holding full committee hearings on health care this week.

Financial Regulation: The House Financial Services Committee will hold two subcommittee hearings to look at efficiency and regulatory oversight in the area of financial regulation. Both hearings will be held on Thursday, Sept. 7.

Flood Insurance: The National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) is set to expire on September 30. Check NAR's NFIP topic page for the latest information.
