  • Markup of the Following Truth in Lending Act and Mortgage Access Bills (NAR Submitting Letter) — House Financial Services Committee:
    • HR 2445 — Self-Employed Mortgage Access Act
    • HR 5294 — A bill to amend the Truth in Lending Act to establish a postsecondary education loan borrower bill of rights and to require certain creditors to obtain private loan certifications from institutions of higher education, to amend the Fair Credit Reporting Act to require the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection to issue rules to establish standards for reporting information related to student loans to consumer reporting agencies, and for other purposes.
    • HR 5287 — A bill to amend the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act to prohibit debt collectors from collecting on certain Federal student loan debt when the borrower would not be required to make payments under an income-driven repayment plan, and for other purposes.
