Proptech—short for property technology—is a word imbued with promise: It suggests progress, time savings, improved performance and, in some cases, transformation in the way you do business. Today, real estate pros are navigating a sea of tools and acronyms—from AI to CRMs to SEO and virtual tours. To be known as a connected professional who works efficiently with minimal errors and maximum client service, you need to navigate with skill.
You also need to regularly reevaluate the tech solutions that are best for you. NAR NXT: The REALTOR® Experience, Nov. 14–16 in Houston, is the venue for that. The conference is packed with educational opportunities, including a Tech & Innovation Track, a series of presentations and working sessions that will help you make smart technology decisions.
What You’ll Take Away and Start Doing Now
Real estate practitioners use tech in different ways. Some experiment while others follow a precise rollout plan from their broker or coach. What is best for you? Answer: tools that truly serve your real estate business. The NAR NXT Tech & Innovation Track will inspire you toward new, streamlined ways of operating your business.
That starts with cutting through the hype of AI and figuring out the best ways to apply it to your daily activities.
“AI is ridiculously powerful and can do just about anything you want it to do,” says Craig Grant, who is presenting the 23 Best Uses of Generative AI & ChatGPT for Real Estate. At this session, he said, conference-goers will “find their why so they can start leveraging and getting the most out of AI in their life and business.”
“I assign ChatGPT role-based projects for email drafting, CRM updates, LinkedIn posts and daily briefings, then schedule tasks to run while I sleep,” says Marki Lemons Ryhal, who is presenting AI-Driven Success at NAR NXT. She added, “I wake up at 7 a.m. with two hours [of work] done.”
To get the most out of your sales funnel, you need to make sure potential clients can find you online. That involves SEO—search engine optimization. Simply, “when you can figure out what people are Googling, you can write blog posts and make YouTube videos that will show up on the first page of search results,” says Karin Carr, who is presenting SEO For Agents Who Don’t Speak Tech. “This can be a huge source of free leads for you.”
What Agents Are Using Today
A majority of NAR members are already using e-signatures and social media in their business, according to the recently released 2025 REALTOR® Technology Survey. Drone photography, AI-generated content and virtual tours are also popular.

REALTORS® are still discovering AI’s business benefits, beyond the fun experiments of entering different prompts into ChatGPT.
The speakers and presenters at Tech Track are ready to walk you through how proptech tools—some that you may already be using—are incorporating AI to help you generate leads, market yourself and your listings, and free up time for working with clients and building new relationships.
The Tech & Innovation Track is one of six education tracks at NAR NXT. After you register for NAR NXT: The REALTOR® Experience, you can add all your favorite sessions to your Daily Schedule.
