Solid brokerage management starts with developing a strong office culture, recruiting the right agents, and integrating resourceful technology.
That's all easier said than done.
To help brokers tackle these business challenges, the National Association of REALTORS® is hosting its third annual Broker Summit in Denver on June 9 and 10, with the overarching theme addressing management topics.
"The REALTOR® Broker Summit is designed to help brokers hone the specific management and entrepreneurial skills they need to make their businesses thrive," says NAR President Tom Salomone, broker-owner of Real Estate II Inc. in Coral Springs, Fla. "We are excited to provide attendees with inspiration from keynote speakers, new insights into the brokerage industry from presenters, and incredible networking opportunities."
The summit will include panel sessions with well-known brokers covering business strategies and tools for successfully running their brokerages. RISMedia will present a Power Broker Roundtable panel, NAR Chief Economist Lawrence Yun will give an economic update, and NAR General Counsel Katherine Johnson will discuss independent contractor classification and how it impacts brokerages of all sizes.
The summit will also feature two keynote speakers: Olympic gold medalist Mary Lou Retton, who will talk about the sacrifice, hard work, and perseverance it took to become the first American woman ever to win a gold medal in gymnastics, and Adam Savage, cohost of the Discovery Channel show “MythBusters,” who will discuss how failure can actually help your business.
