Variations of green are a hot color trend, including for dressing up the living room. More than half of interior designers chose sage as the most popular living room paint color for 2022, according to a survey from Fixr, a home improvement website. Sage can serve as a background color to enhance wood furniture and floors, and it can work in harmony with many other shades in a room, including blue, yellow, or gold, designers note. The hue pops against a white- or cream-colored trim.
