On Dec. 4, 2017, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Assistant to the Secretary for Rural Development Anne Hazlett appointed Curtis Anderson as Chief of Staff for Rural Development’s Rural Housing Service. Anderson previously served as the Deputy Administrator for USDA Rural Development’s Rural Utilities Service under President George W. Bush. In his role as Chief of Staff, Anderson will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Rural Housing programs and staff. This position was created as part of the re-organization of USDA this year.
