NAR Thanks Senator Opposed to Use of G-fees as Pay-For

On Thursday, August 5th, 2021, Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) submitted an amendment to the proposed bi-partisan infrastructure bill (S. 2441) requesting guarantee fees (g-fees) be dropped as a pay-for.

The National Association of Realtors® (NAR) along with the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) and the National Association of Home Builder (NAHB) subsequently sent a letter of appreciation to Senator Mike Lee for offering an amendment to S.2441.

NAR and our cosigners recognize the importance of infrastructure investments in the bill, but also of the pressing homeownership, supply, and other housing needs that should be prioritized for g-fee funding.
