Advocacy Updates from Washington D.C.

The Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection (CFPB) issued a series of Requests for Information (RFIs) on various agency practices seeking input from the public and outside stakeholders. The goal of the RFIs is to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of the Bureau to make necessary changes with the feedback from the comments provided. NAR has submitted comments on many of the Bureau activities including:

Comment on Consumer Investigative Demands

Comment on Adjudication Proceedings

Comment on External Engagements

Comment on Rulemaking Processes

Comment on Adopted and New Rules

Comment on Inherited Rules

NAR will continue submitting comments on the RFIs and encourage feedback from members wishing to weigh in on these important issues anonymously. For more on the CFPB’s RFI efforts, please visit this page on the CFPB website.
