Congress has allocated $46.55 billion in emergency rental assistance relief for renters and housing providers who are struggling due to the impact of COVID-19. These funds were disbursed to the states and many counties, which have since created their own programs for disbursing aid to qualified applicants. - Find Your State or Local Rental Assistance Program: Each state has its own program for providing rental assistance. Some counties and cities also have their own programs. To find your local program, enter your state and county into the menu.
