The Missoula Organization of Realtors® announced the release of more than $315,000 in relief for Missoula's July windstorm.
The National Association of Realtors® awarded Missoula $250,000 this summer to support homeowners and renters post-storm. Missoula's Organization of Realtors® exceeded the original funding, crediting local news coverage and a surge in applicants before the Oct. 1 deadline.
Uses for the money include damage to homes and reimbursing hotel stays.
“It’s just kind of those little -- bridging the gap between one mortgage payment or one extra bill or one insurance deductible, so sometimes I think that's all it takes. It was great,” Sheena Winterer, president-elect of the Missoula Organization of Realtors®, said.
