Thousands of real estate professionals are gathering in Washington, D.C., this week for the 2026 REALTORS® Legislative Meetings, where members will help shape the policies and advocacy priorities affecting real estate and homeownership across the country.

Against the backdrop of ongoing affordability challenges, members of the National Associations of REALTORS® will focus on solutions to expand housing supply, reform tax policy, protect professional representation and create new pathways to homeownership. NAR leadership and member committees will discuss governance and set policy initiatives important to the association and the real estate industry.

"The REALTORS® Legislative Meetings are a powerful opportunity for members to come together, make their voices heard and help shape the future of real estate policy at both the national and local levels," says Shannon McGahn, NAR's executive vice president and chief advocacy officer.

One of the week’s featured events is a fireside chat between NAR CEO Nykia Wright and Pulitzer Prize–winning historian Doris Kearns Goodwin, who will share insights on leadership, resilience and the moments that shape history. Members will also take their advocacy directly to Capitol Hill, meeting with lawmakers to discuss housing issues and the importance of a strong real estate market.

The REALTORS® Trade Expo will showcase the latest business tools, technology and industry innovations, while the NAR Pavilion will feature the “Change Agents” podcast experience, giving attendees an opportunity to meet host Bennett Richardson and other familiar NAR voices.

All members are also invited to watch the NAR Board of Directors meeting live online on June 18 at 8:30 a.m. ET. Log in with your member ID to access the session.
