Michael Ford, a REALTOR® from West Memphis, Ark., is the 2015 Vice President of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®. NAR, The Voice for Real Estate®, is America’s largest trade association, representing 1.4 million members involved in all aspects of the residential and commercial real estate industries.

A REALTOR® for 35 years, Michael is broker/owner of Coldwell Banker Heritage Homes, in West Memphis, specializing in residential brokerage. He holds the professional designation of Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI) and is a Certified e-PRO®.

Michael has been actively involved with NAR for many years. He is a long-standing member of NAR’s Board of Directors, having served since 1994. He has chaired the RPAC Trustees Fundraising, Issues Mobilization, and Political Communications Committees. He was the RPAC Major Investor Liaison in 2012. In 1997, he was NAR’s Vice President for Region 9, representing Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri. Michael is a member of the RPAC Hall of Fame. Michael is on the 2021 Board of Directors for the REALTORS® Relief Foundation. 

Michael chaired the Arkansas REALTORS® Legislative Committee in 1990, 2005, and 2011. He led the Arkansas REALTORS® Political Action Committee for two terms, from 1998 to 1999 and again from 2002 to 2004. He chaired the Strategic Planning Committee from 1997 to 1998. Arkansas REALTORS® elected Michael their president in 1995 and in 1994 he was named Arkansas’ REALTOR® of the Year.

At the local level, Michael is an active member of the Crittenden County Board of REALTORS®. Michael chaired the MLS Committee in 2013 and 2014. He served as board president from 1984 to 1986. He was named their REALTOR® of the Year on five separate occasions.

Michael is a lifelong resident of Crittenden County and is deeply committed to his community. He was a director of the Mid-South Community College Foundation from 2003 to 2006 and again from 2009 to 2012. He has led the advisory board of the First Community Bank of Eastern Arkansas for 10 years. He is a member of the West Memphis Chamber of Commerce and the Marion Chamber of Commerce.

Michael and his wife, Lesia, also a REALTOR®, volunteer with the American Heart Association, Special Olympics, Delta Arts Council, and Relay for Life.
