Two men from Minneapolis have been found guilty for the murder and kidnapping of Monique Baugh, a 28-year-old real estate professional who was killed on New Year’s Eve in 2019 after being lured to a fake home showing.
Baugh arrived at a home on Dec. 31, 2019, after she was made to believe a potential buyer was interested in purchasing. But a neighborhood security camera showed Baugh arriving at the house and then being whisked away in a rental truck that arrived at the property. She was later found in a nearby alley with multiple gunshot wounds and duct tape on her wrists. She died a short time later at the hospital.
Cedric Berry and Berry Davis were convicted of first-degree premeditated murder and kidnapping. Elsa Segura and Lyndon Wiggins also face charges in connection with the kidnapping and murder of Baugh as well as the attempted murder of her boyfriend. They’re still awaiting trial.
Baugh was a sales associate with Kris Lindahl Real Estate.
