@properties has become @properties Christie’s International Real Estate. The Chicago-based brokerage changed its name following its recent acquisition of the Christie’s International Real Estate business at the end of last year.

“When we established @properties in 2000, the name positioned us as a forward-thinking company and helped to differentiate us from the old-line brokerage firms in the market,” says Thad Wong, @properties co-founder and co-CEO. “Over the years, it evolved into a brand that is synonymous with market-leading, relationship-focused, tech-forward real estate. Meanwhile, the Christie’s International Real Estate brand has come to symbolize the pinnacle of luxury brokerage and the industry standard for service and professionalism around the world. We’re proud that each of these important ideas is now represented in our brand.”

The new name will apply to the firm’s real estate offices across the Chicago area as well as Northwest Indiana, Southwest Michigan, and Wisconsin.

@properties acquired Christie’s in December 2021. Christie’s existing global network of about 900 affiliate real estate offices transferred to @properties, which has set a path for @properties to expand globally.

@properties ranks 8th on the REAL Trends 500 list among the largest residential brokerage firms in the U.S. ranked by sales volume. It has 40 office locations and employs more than 3,000 agents, according to its website.

Christie’s, which has been in operation for more than 30 years, has a presence in 48 countries and territories.
