Phishing email

A scam email, purporting to be from the National Association of REALTORS®, is targeting members who have registered for the 2021 REALTORS® Conference & Expo, asking to verify their credit card information. The email is not from NAR.

In the email, the sender claims that the credit card registrants used to sign up for the conference was declined; the bogus email instructs them to fill out a credit card authorization form to keep their registration from being canceled. Recipients should note that the message comes from an email address—realtorsconfrence@gmx.us—that misspells the word “conference” and is not an NAR domain (nar.realtor or realtors.org).

NAR members should be on the alert for such fraudulent emails and should never send credit card details or click on any links that aren't from a verifiable source.

More than 10,000 REALTORS® are in San Diego to attend the REALTORS® Conference & Expo, Nov. 12-15.
