Trenton Miller shares how his fast-paced “speed tours” helped him build a thriving real estate brand, starting his career just out of high school.

Starting in real estate at just age 18, Trenton Miller knew he needed to stand out—and fast. He figured social media was the way to do it.

“Obviously, getting into real estate as a younger gentleman, it was a little bit more difficult to build up the clientele,” Miller says. At first, he posted daily videos sharing homebuying or selling tips, but the likes trickled in—10 here, 20 there.

“I knew I had to do something different,” he says. “Everyone’s attention span is so short, and they scroll through videos so quickly. I needed something that’s fast and gives them all the information they need in one take.”

His solution? A “speed tour.”

Sliding, bending, jumping and racing through homes, Miller highlights the best features on the go.

“The first one I posted got 3 million views on Instagram and TikTok,” says Miller, with eXp Realty in San Antonio, Texas. “I haven’t looked back since.”

Now his “speed tours” are his signature—blending entertainment, information and personality in video shorts. Celebrities like boxer and influencer Jake Paul has even requested a “speed tour” of his home. Miller’s approach has also led to brand endorsements, like with “speed tours” for Hilton Properties or at Beast Game venues. Other agents across the country also have requested “speed tours” of their listings.

“I get a lot of requests to run through homes,” he says.

Starting so young in real estate, Miller, now 21, credits his videos on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube with helping him expand into larger markets, moving from south central Pennsylvania to San Antonio, Texas, over the last year.

“Once my social media took off, it opened up opportunities,” he says. His best month after launching “speed tours” resulted in $1.6 million in listings traced to his videos. He’s built a loyal and growing audience of more than 1.7 million followers on TikTok alone.

The tours come with their share of wipeouts. He admits he’s tripped a lot, often filming in socks and sliding through the homes—but it’s those tumbles that crank up the fun and keep viewers hooked. Also part of his recognizable style are catchphrases like shouting “THIS IS A GARAGE!” and an impressive backbend whenever he’s admiring something in the house.

“It’s the energy and authenticity that really resonates,” he says.

His video approach is fairly simple: a phone, a friend filming and a single camera take. “It performs well because it’s original,” he says. “No one else came up with it, and it’s hard to replicate exactly the way I do it.”

For agents hesitant about video, Miller says just give it a try. “Start recording yourself and practice,” he says. “A lot of people freeze when the camera’s on ... But consistency and intentionality are key. If you put in the effort over time, you’ll see results—just like going to the gym.” That’s what worked for Miller—not giving up when things weren’t resonating online but hanging in there as he discovered his niche.

Now, his videos have become a major lead-generation tool and the backbone to his growing real estate business.

Views of Miller’s videos have led to brand deals, extra income and leverage with sellers. “It’s huge to say, ‘I can potentially get a couple million views on your home,’” he says. “Now people call me and say, ‘We need you to run through our house!’”

Standing out in real estate sometimes may require bold moves. “People choose to work with me because of my personality,” he adds. “They see my videos—they feel a connection and like they already know me. It’s brought me more business and it’s way more fun.”
