A Family Affair
Jennifer Dollar grew up talking about real estate at the dinner table. After earning a bachelor's degree from the University of Central Florida, she began her career in earnest, working first in residential sales and then in commercial, covering Jacksonville to Central Florida. With her father and brother as partners, Dollar founded real estate, mortgage, and title companies in 2008. After less than two years, she says, Realty Executives Seminole commands the fourth largest market share through two offices with 65 sales professionals. She is a leader of her local Young Professionals Network chapter and is actively involved with the Women's Council of REALTORS®.
Bridging the Divides
With 75 percent of her staff and associates over 40, Dollar appreciates the value of experience. "The veterans are really involved, while the younger generation is tech-savvy but not as involved or on top of the fundamentals of real estate. We really need to learn from each other and I'm working really hard to bridge this gap. The way real estate is now, it's not about the individual, it's about working together."
