From Show Business to Showings
“I’ve always been a businessman trapped in a singer’s body,” says Cole Currier, 29. In 2009, Currier left the spotlight as a performer in Branson, Mo., to open a real estate brokerage. Contending with the scared public and dismal economy, he blogged about properties and created market update videos. “I knew if people were armed with information, they would feel empowered to make a purchase,” he explains. Today, Currier is steeped in the luxury market, and still works hard to keep clients informed. In addition, he currently serves as secretary-treasurer of his local board, after leading a year-long study of membership issues. “We went through growing pains,” he says. But, like his musical career, from struggle came success. “We’re stronger and better because of it.”
