A Committed Lineage
Alissa Jenkins, 27, SRS, is a fourth-generation real estate professional. She has followed in the footsteps of her father, grandfather, and great-grandmother. Among her earliest memories is tagging along with her father as he did appraisals. “I can remember when we were little, he plugged a small TV into his cigarette lighter in his truck, gave me and my two sisters Icees and candy, and drove around all day taking his comparable pictures and measuring houses,” Jenkins says. During a winter break in college, she took her real estate licensing classes. Her first year in the business went so well, she felt she’d found her path. Activities such as running clubs and bible studies have enlarged her sphere. “Being face-to-face with people has always given me the most success in gaining their trust and developing them as a client,” she says.
