For Crystal Swearingen, raising her three daughters has been the greatest accomplishment of her life. “Having them be a part of my goals and seeing the results—whether they win or fail—is rewarding beyond words,” she says. Swearingen took her experience running a successful team for several years and put that knowledge into founding her own real estate firm. She opened Crystal Clear Realty in December 2018.
Swearingen currently serves as chair of the Lawrence Board of REALTORS® RPAC Committee, and she’s a member of the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS® Strategic Planning Committee, Member Advocacy Committee, and the Member Consumer Engagement Advisory Committee. She’s also chair of the Governmental Affairs Committee, RPAC Trustees, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Kansas Association of REALTORS®. This year, Swearingen became a member of the National Association of REALTORS® Leading Edge Advisory Board.
In addition to all of her committee work and being active in her community, she’s dedicated to educating everyone she meets on the benefits of homeownership and the value of investing in property. Growing up, her family moved frequently and spent several months living with other family members when they were between apartments. Swearingen knows how important it is to have the stability of a home. She works with buyers, sellers, and investors from across the country, showcasing what Lawrence and the state of Kansas has to offer. She makes a point to use her voice to speak for those who don’t have a seat at the table.
In her free time, Swearingen runs a cafe and lounge called Crystal's Spot on Mass Street in Lawrence, and she’s the co-founder and editorial director of The Spot Mag: Celebrating Women in Business.
