Chief Executive Officer, National Association of REALTORS®
Bob Goldberg, the chief executive officer of the National Association of REALTORS®, is an industry giant who has built his career forging programs and partnerships to strengthen the REALTOR® organization and drive success for its 1.2 million members.
With more than 30 years of experience in the real estate industry, Goldberg is known as a nimble player and the architect of many of the association’s forward-looking major initiatives.
As a senior executive with NAR between 1995 and 2017, Goldberg led three NAR divisions and four subsidiary entities (both not-for-profit and for-profit) through periods of significant growth and change. For example, he created and launched the highly successful REALTOR Benefits® Program. More than 800,000 members take advantage of the program annually to save money on business products and services. He initiated NAR’s top-level domain initiative, securing .realtor, .realestate, and (with the Canadian Real Estate Association) .mls. And he has played a significant role in NAR’S growing web of technology partnerships as a key player in the association’s investment arm, Second Century Ventures, and its REach Technology Accelerator.
As CEO, Goldberg draws on expertise in marketing, business development, mergers and acquisitions, revenue generation, product lifecycle management, and professional development (he holds an ePRO certification). He is known as both a strategic visionary and a strong protector of REALTORS®' role in the transaction. John Featherston, president & CEO of RISMedia has called Goldberg “fearless in his defense of the membership and the immense value proposition the National Association of REALTORS® provides for our country.”
Before moving to NAR, Goldberg was a senior vice president with PRC Realty Systems (PRC), the nation’s leading provider of online multiple listing systems. Before joining PRC in 1984, he was national marketing manager for IFI/Plenum Data Co., a leading online content database provider.
