Diversity & Inclusion Goal Suggestions for Existing Staff
CEO
- Create and maintain a culture that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive to strengthen leadership and staff, to mirror the diversity and culture of the association/region/community;
- Partner with department heads to create department DEI goals that tie in with strategic plan and overall department success;
- Provide diversity training and information for all staff;
- Seek event partnership opportunities with multicultural partners and groups;
- Attract and retain top diverse talent.
HR
- Attract and retain top diverse talent;
- Conduct salary surveys and benchmarking to ensure workers are paid fairly with total compensation considerations based on their job duties and qualifications;
- Partner with department heads to create department DEI goals that tie in with strategic plan and overall department success;
- Provide diversity training and information for all staff.
Grievance/Professional Standards Committee
- Provide fair and equitable service to all parties when scheduling hearings, grievances, and all other meetings;
- Provide additional accommodations as needed so that all parties are having a positive, inclusive, experience.
Education/Event Planners
- Ensure diversity in presenters, speakers, sponsors, and instructors;
- Vendor selection is open to a diverse group vendors including local, minority, and veteran owned businesses, restaurants, and other service providers;
- Develop and provide: diversity, implicit bias, fair housing, and other DEI courses to members on annual basis;
- Seeks event partnership opportunities with multicultural partners and groups.
Government Affairs
- Maintain relationships with multicultural partners and groups;
- Enter into Strategic partnership agreements with organizations that will serve each other’s initiatives;
- Attend partnership programming and build awareness in each other’s initiatives including, but not limited to, organizations such as:
- AREAA (Asian Real Estate Association of America)
- NAREB (National Association of Real Estate Brokers)
- NAGLREP (National Association of Gay and Lesbian Real Estate Professionals)
- NAHREP (National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals)
- NARPM (National Association of Residential Property Managers)
- Advocate for strengthening fair housing and increasing minority home ownership.
PR/Marketing/Communications
- Ensure diversity of representation in communications (memos, website, communications that reach members, staff);
- Create and manage communication strategies for increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion awareness of members.
Admin
- Ensure patronage of a diversity of vendors including local, minority, and veteran owned businesses, restaurants, and other service providers.
Finance
- Ensure patronage of a diversity of vendors including local, minority, and veteran owned businesses, restaurants, and other service providers.
Membership
- Provide additional accommodations when needed to ensure all members receive a positive experience of inclusion regardless of age, sex or disability;
- Analyze and utilize membership demographics on an ongoing basis to assist with strategic plan and DEI initiatives.
Building Facilities
