REALTORS® Honor Moment of Silence for Boston Victims

The National Association of REALTORS® and REALTORS® around the country will be joining with the city of Boston and the state of Massachusetts Monday, April 22, 2013, in a mournful minute of silence to mark the traumatic events of the past week.

Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick asked residents to observe the moment of silence at 2:50 p.m. Eastern; that’s the time that the first of two bombs exploded April 15 near the finish line of the Boston Marathon.

Among the injured in those bombings, according to Greater Boston Real Estate Board CEO Gregory Vasil, were a member of GBREB’s Rental Housing Association, who lost a limb, and a member of the nearby Eastern Middlesex Association of REALTORS®. The association expresses its sympathy to families of the victims and all those within the city and throughout the world whose lives were impacted by these tragic events.
