How to Train, Manage and Motivate Employees

Retaining employees is an ongoing effort. They require reinforcement, direction and recognition to grow and remain satisfied in their positions.

A key to success is practicing “motivational management,” which involves employees in planning and organizational goals. Such an experience creates an atmosphere in which employees feel they are heard and their ideas are appreciated.

Executives and other staff must also lead by example. Employees will feel more loyal and work harder if a positive example is set and if leaders measure up to the same expectations outlined for them.

Other effective tools for employee retention include:

  • Performance Appraisals
  • Professional Development
  • Wage and Benefits Packages
