Association Executives Committee
Commercial Member Relationships Work Group
Tuesday, May 13, 2014
Washington, DC

Meeting Summary

Work Group Purpose

To identify best practices that associations are using to successfully serve and provide value to commercial practitioners; and to help associations promote their value to recruit and retain commercial members.

Meeting Activity

The AEC Commercial Member Relationships work group is compiling successful commercial member services initiatives that will be posted on nar.realtor. All local and state associations and commercial overlay boards will be asked to contribute successful initiatives to this resource, which will be organized into the following four categories: advocacy, education, engagement, and information/programs/services.

To encourage associations to share their successful commercial member service initiatives, the work group created a template so associations can easily document them. The work group will disseminate this template to commercial overlay boards, and local and state associations. Successful initiatives will be posted on nar.realtor in an easy-to-use format.

Each work group member will be responsible for encouraging the completion of the forms, with the goal being to post these success stories in August, just prior to the Leadership Summit.
