NAR Letter Asks FHA to Suspend Anti-Flipping Rule and Reduce Mortgage Insurance Premium

On December 15th, NAR sent a letter to the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) requesting it suspend the anti-flipping rule until 2025 in light of current market dynamics. In addition, NAR pressed the FHA to reduce premiums and/or eliminate the life-of-loan fee or implement a program akin to the Howeowners Armed with Knowledge (HAWK) where homeowners fee's decline after taking ongoing financial literacy courses and solid performance.
