Osceola County Association of REALTORS® Wins 2019 Diamond Global Achievement Award

The National Association of REALTORS® awarded the DIAMOND Global Achievement Program Award to the Osceola County Association of REALTORS® Global Alliance Committee at the Annual Conference & Expo in San Francisco, CA. The Association staff and volunteer leaders have demonstrated six consecutive years of consistently high levels of achievement in the five evaluated categories: Business Plan, Marketing & Communication, Events/Education, Outreach, and Benchmarking.

In addition to excelling in the above categories and working to fully integrate a global mindset with both their membership and staff, the OSCAR Global Alliance Committee believes in supporting global humanitarian initiatives and empowering people to recover from crisis, build better lives and transform their communities for good. In that spirit, they have adopted Mercy Corps as their official non-profit charitable organization to support. In 2017 they contributed more than $7000 towards their efforts of working to make the world a better place. They also contributed $15,300 to humanitarian relief to those re-locating to their community after Hurricane Maria devastated Puerto Rico. And, in 2019 their next focus, was to identify a local organization with a global connection. Give Kids the World Village, located in Osceola County met this goal. This charitable organization is an eighty-four (84) acre nonprofit resort which is entirely located in Kissimmee, Florida. The function of this resort is to provide week-long, cost-free vacations to children with critical illnesses across the globe and their families. In addition to accommodations in a child- friendly resort environment, this organization provides critically ill children with donated theme park tickets and a myriad of other entertainment options. In many instances, they are fulfilling a child’s last great adventure and dream. Since its establishment in 1986, this organization has sponsored 167,000 families from all fifty (50) states and seventy-six (76) countries.

Their global reach expanded in 2019 through both outbound and inbound trade missions and has allowed the group to consider joining in an international coalition in order to continue those relationships year-round. Through successful outreach efforts with local groups over the years, they are now reaching out, forming relationships and alliances with foreign real estate associations and government representatives. In addition, they have taken a pro-active role in inviting local government and business leaders to our association in order to keep their members informed of new projects and changes taking place within our community.

In 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018, the OSCAR Global Alliance Committee received the Platinum Achievement Award. Prior to that, they held Gold in 2013.

Congrats OSCAR Global Alliance Committee!
