The REACH startup is betting that brokerage-specific AI can do more than answer questions, but also help agents navigate policies, streamline workflows and get more done.

AI has quickly become part of many real estate agents’ routines, helping with everything from writing listing descriptions to drafting client communications. But while general purpose AI tools can help agents with individual tasks, brokerage operations present a different set of challenges—from onboarding agents and managing transactions to making policies accessible and coordinating the many systems and processes that keep the business running.

That’s where BrokerBot.ai CEO and co-founder Jerimiah Taylor sees an opportunity. The company—selected as part of the National Association of REALTORS®’ Second Century Ventures 2026 REACH program—has developed an AI-powered operating system designed specifically for real estate brokerages. It brings the brokerage’s internal knowledge, tools and workflows together in one place. AI assistants are integrated across the web, chat, SMS, voice, email, calendars and internal brokerage systems. The goal, Taylor says, is to help agents spend less time navigating internal systems and searching for answers—and more time serving clients.

Taylor, named one of NAR’s 2026 Innovators of the Year, shares how brokerage-specific AI could help firms streamline operations, reduce repetitive tasks and better support agents.

What do you believe are some of the biggest operational challenges brokerages are facing today that are getting in the way of agent productivity and growth?

TAYLOR: “The recurring theme is fragmentation. Brokerage knowledge lives in a dozen places—policy PDFs, form libraries, shared drives, email threads and the heads of a few experienced people.

“Agents lose time hunting for answers that should take seconds, and the answers they get are not always consistent. Add the admin load that comes with every transaction, plus tool sprawl across the systems a brokerage already runs, and the result is hours a week that never reach a client or a closing. Onboarding compounds it because a new agent has to absorb years of processes before they can work independently. Most brokerages now have agents quietly using consumer AI tools, which compounds the sprawl with no governance. The net effect is that the brokerage's own expertise is hard to access and harder to share.”

For the brokerage leader who says, “My agents are already using ChatGPT,” why invest in using an AI system built specifically for the brokerage?

TAYLOR: “Your people are already using AI. The problem is it's scattered, ungoverned and disconnected from how the brokerage actually runs. Moreover, they could be violating federal and state law by uploading customer PII, association IP, or connecting their CRM to AI platforms that train on the data.

“BrokerBot becomes the AI brain for the brokerage—access to all the leading frontier models, connected to every tool the team already runs, on every channel they already work in. It’s the one system that knows the business, the docs, the people and the playbook.

“And unlike the consumer tools agents are already pasting into, BrokerBot is the secure, enterprise-grade version. No model trains on your information. Your data stays yours, your guardrails stay on, and nothing leaves the organization. Put simply: ChatGPT knows the Internet six months ago. BrokerBot knows your brokerage today.”

Many brokerages have years of policies, forms, and processes already in place. How does BrokerBot turn that information into something agents can actually use in their day-to-day work?

TAYLOR: “It starts with the Knowledge Center. A brokerage uploads its policies, forms and process docs, connects a Google Drive or OneDrive folder, and imports training videos from their YouTube channel. That material becomes available to the AI agent on all channels. When an agent puts BrokerBot to work, context is drawn from those documents rather than from the open internet.

“BrokerBot makes that knowledge actionable. Workflows turn repeatable jobs into one-click tiles. We go from drafting a listing description to creating the marketing kit for listing with Reels videos, a single page listing website, flyers, social posts and more from one click.

“Summarize an inspection report is expanded into BrokerBot—sourcing the brokerages contractors from the knowledge base and scheduling bids for the agent. The Training Center then lets owners teach BrokerBot the brokerage's rules and corrections, and those are versioned and approved rather than lost in a chat. Because it runs on every channel, an agent can ask from their phone or via email between showings and get the same answer they would get at their desk.”

Accuracy is especially important when agents are asking about brokerage policies, transactions or compliance. How does BrokerBot ensure agents are getting answers based on the brokerage’s own rules and resources rather than generic AI responses?

TAYLOR: “Two things do the work: Grounding and training. BrokerBot answers from the team's Knowledge Center and is trained on the team's rules, so its responses reflect the brokerage's own policies and resources. It cites the documents it used so an agent can see where an answer came from.

“When the knowledge base does not contain the answer, it says so rather than guessing, which matters most when the question touches compliance or a transaction. Owners can correct and refine behavior in the Training Center, and those corrections are versioned with conflict detection. Also, folder-level permissions control who can read what, so sensitive material stays with the right people.

“Furthermore, we've made a deep investment in machine learning and have thousands of evaluations running in the background constantly monitoring and back testing every response that BrokerBot provides.”

Where can leaders see the biggest payoff?

TAYLOR: “We give brokers the ability to scale and add more value to their agents without having to add headcount. For brokerages in the 2026 margin environment, this is a powerful tool you can implement.”
