Michael Drews (GRI), a REALTOR® from Aurora, Illinois, was the 2019 National Association of REALTORS® liaison for Region 7 comprised of Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin.

A veteran of the industry for over 40 years, Michael is a REALTOR® at Charles B. Doss and Co., located in Aurora. He specializes in residential real estate.

At the national level, Michael has been a member of NAR’s Board of Directors since 2012. He was the Federal Political Coordinator for Congressman Randy Hultgren of Illinois’ 14th Congressional District in 2016 and was instrumental in bringing the NAR’s Broker Involvement Program to the state.

In 2019, the Illinois Association of REALTORS® named him their REALTOR® of the Year. He served as their president in 2016.

Michael was president of his local association, Mainstreet Organization of REALTORS® in 2010, and he was named their REALTOR® of the Year in 2011. Michael was also the 1990 REALTOR® Associate of the Year for the Greater Aurora Association of REALTORS®.

Michael has spent years dedicated to his community, and in 2008 and 2009, the City of Aurora appointed him to revitalize their historic preservation zoning ordinance. He is a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and a member of Aurora Noon Rotary.
