The REALTORS® Relief Foundation (RRF) is providing $500,000 to assist those impacted by the July 4 deadly flash flooding disaster in south central Texas along the Guadalupe River.

Texas REALTORS® will distribute the RRF grant among eight local associations, which will make the funds available to victims in need of immediate housing-related support.

“Following the tragic floods in Texas, we at the National Association of REALTORS® and the REALTORS® Relief Foundation are heartbroken at the lives lost and the communities devastated,” says RRF President Greg Hrabcak. “We know that the recovery efforts will take time and commitment, and we are working closely with Texas REALTORS® and local REALTOR® associations to make sure that the $500,000 we are providing goes toward supporting communities in areas affected by the flooding. NAR and RRF stand with Texans today, tomorrow and in the months and years to come as we rebuild together.”

The grant is made possible through the generosity of REALTORS®, state and local associations and industry partners. The National Association of REALTORS® covers all administrative costs associated with RRF, allowing 100% of the donations raised to be used for disaster relief.

At rrf.realtor, the foundation continues to raise funds for those affected in Texas.

The foundation has been providing relief in disaster zones for nearly 24 years. NAR leaders first mobilized in the wake of the 9/11 terrorist attacks to provide urgent housing-related assistance to those impacted, ultimately raising more than $8.4 million.

Since then, RRF has provided more than $50 million to more than 26,000 families across 49 U.S. states and territories.
