If you want to know anything about Davis, Calif., call Ginny Parks, 29. As a Davis native, Parks aims to sell a piece of her hometown to every buyer. But she’s learned to attach herself to the “right outcome,” which is a home her clients will be happy in. “It’s not about making a lot of money on a big transaction,” she says. That lesson was driven home by a young girl named Emma, the daughter of a couple whose home Parks listed. “She said she wanted to be like me.” A few months later, Emma sent a picture of herself and her family posed in front of the home they bought after selling, with a handwritten thank-you note to “Miss Ginny.” Says Parks: “That’s what matters.”
