Major Giver
Anna-Marie Hyatt, 26, wants to be known as a philanthropic giant in her small town of about 11,000. Hyatt has been baking sweets and knitting blankets for local nursing home residents since she was 5. She counts 20 charitable endeavors she’s involved in annually, and these activities have an indirect tie to her real estate business. Her contacts through local nonprofits have helped her build a strong referral network. They also helped her win this year’s 30 Under 30 Web Choice Award with 3,662 votes. “The philanthropic community is my circle,” Hyatt says. “Those are the people I connect most authentically with, and so they’re the people I do a lot of business with.” When the pandemic began, Hyatt doubled down to help seniors and others isolated at home, delivering meals and stopping to chat through windows. “I want to be that person that anyone can reach out to and know they’ll get care in return.”
