  • Foot traffic in the area covered by the Pagosa Springs Area Association of REALTORS® (California) has been stronger than a year earlier in every month since April. This year’s strength relative to last year coincides with the end of the $8,000 tax credit.
  • However, the year-over-year different was relatively modest in both credit and not credit periods suggesting that the tax credit was not a significant driver of sales in this area. Interest in housing is steady, but job growth would greatly benefit the local market.
