Foot traffic and future home sales have a strong correlation. SentriLock, LLC. provides NAR Research with monthly data on the number of showings.
Since April, foot traffic has been much stronger in the area covered by the Long Island Board of REALTORS® than the same period in 2010.
Foot traffic is also stronger than September of 2009 suggesting that this will be a stronger fall market than the area has seen in at least two seasons.
