Want to inspire members to explore the full value of their membership through real, relatable stories? Long Island Board of REALTORS® did just that when it launched “Why LIBOR—A Video Series,” highlighting how members leverage LIBOR for professional success and personal growth. Featuring LIBOR leaders, the series is designed to empower members not just to renew membership, but to engage more deeply in their community.
The series features four short videos, each spotlighting a unique aspect of LIBOR membership:
- “Five Ways LIBOR Membership Delivers,” with LIBOR 2024 President Kevin Leatherman
- “Leveraging LIBOR for Professional and Personal Success,” with LIBOR 2023 President Gina Marie Bettenhauser
- “Living Your Value Proposition,” with LIBOR 2025 President Mark Donnelly
- “Four Drivers of LIBOR’s Priorities,” with LIBOR 2025 President-Elect Shaan Khan
LIBOR partnered with Digital Waterworx, a professional videographer, using its studio with a green screen, outdoor space, seating area and teleprompter—helping speakers to deliver their messages confidently. By filming in one day and supplying its own graphics, additional video and photos, the association kept costs under $3,000.
To promote the series, LIBOR launched a microsite and teaser, followed by emails, a news release, homepage and newsletter banners, weekly social media posts, snippets of stories, and a sneak peek at a live event.
The result: strong engagement, inspiring conversations among members and increased interest from others eager to share their stories.
