This group-learning opportunity for 80-100 anticipated attendees will culminate with a live presentation of commercial/investment listings that have not yet hit the market, granting attendees first shot at learning of the listings and submitting offers.

Oklahoma Real Estate Forum

Central Oklahoma Commercial Association of REALTORS® will found an annual networking event called "The COCAR Fall Forum" that would focus on a new topic of interest to the commercial real estate community each year, providing continuing education credit for commercial real estate licensees, appraisers, and through the Congress of the New Urbanism. With a clear focus on advocacy rather than economic forecasts, the forum will cover local and state issues related to each annual topic. The first forum will be focused on Earth Quakes and the association anticipates 140+ attendees.

The Transformation of Urban Commercial Sites

Commercial Association of REALTORS® Wisconsin

Commercial Association of REALTORS® Wisconsin will produce a 2-hour program highlighting three or four commercial real estate practitioners with specific success stories of rehabilitating distressed or abandoned commercial real estate, highlighting perceptions of working with the City of Milwaukee, the distressed corridors and commercial real estate within the city, and top priorities for the industry related to those corridors. It will also conduct focus groups involving 30 pre-selected members to identify key issues related to working with distressed and abandoned properties, a survey of 125 members about their perceptions of distressed and abandoned properties, and produce a "best practices" white paper outlining success factors for projects featured on the day of the program.

CAP III, a Commercial Ambassadors Program: The Next Generation

Greater Tampa Association of REALTORS®

Greater Tampa Association of REALTORS® will build on its highly-successful Commercial Ambassador Program by continuing its three most-successful innovations: to provide classroom-based training sessions, commercial practitioner "pitch showcases," and panel discussions on trending commercial topics. New components will include: identifying other realtor associations to mentor, establishing a monthly "Legal Commercial Update" hosted by a reputable local commercial attorney, and coordinating at least two offsite trainings at commercial sites that will serve as real life case studies. The association expects to benefit 10-20% of its 700 Commercial members.

ICBR Associate Mobile Application

Indiana Commercial Board of REALTORS®

Indiana Commercial Board of REALTORS® will design a smart phone application providing members with business resources and tools to allow them to check regulations, financial aspects, and other pertinent information about a property while in a meeting or onsite at a property. An additional interactive member directory will foster networking among members statewide, allowing them to reach out to other members. Finally, access to ICREX (local CIE) within the app grants membership immediate access to listings, increasing the exposure of subscribing brokers.

Commercial Break Out Day

Louisiana REALTORS®

Louisiana REALTORS® will host its first "Commercial Breakout Day" at its September Conference, encompassing 4-hours of CE and a 1-2 hour tech panel. The event will engage 200 commercial practitioners by educating them about the goals of the association and benefits they provide for members. Attendees will network with sponsors, enjoy the tech panel, and engage in pertinent CE.

Commercial Green Course CE and Curriculum Development

Northern California Commercial Association of REALTORS®

Northern California Commercial Association of REALTORS® will collaborate with commercial brokers, commercial vendors, and affiliates to produce a commercial CE course for license renewal in California that provides up-to-date strategies, concepts, techniques (including access to software programs) and systems for its roughly 300 commercial real estate members. The course will be the first of its kind in California and is designed to teach commercial brokers how to drive value for their clients from energy efficiency and sustainability improvements.

Silver Line Development Update & Site Tour

Northern Virginia Association of REALTORS®

Northern Virginia Association of REALTORS® will create an educational program about the industry potential spurred by the completion of Phase 1 of the expansion of the Silver Line Metro Project, which serves Tyson's Corner, VA, and the surrounding areas. The group will host a tour to visit the four new stations in Tyson's Corner and the one in Reston, discuss Phase II of the Silver Line expansion which will extends the rail to Washington Dulles Airport and communities beyond, and explore how the completed project will connect the urban center of DC to the "Tysons-to-Reston Corridor." With 86% of new construction in the area occurring within a quarter-mile of the stations and a total of 50 million square feet of new commercial space already approved by the county there are many possibilities to communicate to members. The Tour will be preceded by a discussion led by developers involved with the Silver Line Metro commercial projects and be followed by a networking lunch designed to facilitate further open discussion.

All Roads Lead to Downtown

Winston-Salem Regional Association of REALTORS®

Winston-Salem Regional Association of REALTORS® will conduct outreach to the North Carolina Department of Transportation to get up-to-the-minute information on the anticipated impact on downtown offices and businesses likely to be affected as a result of a two-year construction project to a major highway connecting outlying areas to the downtown. This information will be used both to inform members and to create a template that will be shared via thumb-drive with impacted offices and businesses, allowing them to create branded flyers directing customers on how to navigate construction in order to continue shopping and conducting business downtown. Thumb-drives will be branded with the WSRAR RCA name and logo and will serve as a powerful advertising device to further connect with the retail and business community.
