Increased Listing Period HUD Homes

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is increasing the exclusive listing period for owner-occupants, government entities, and nonprofits for sales of HUD real estate owned (REO) homes from 15 days to 30 days. This extension is being done in accordance with the Biden-Harris Administration’s plan to increase the supply of affordable housing available to first-time and low and moderate-income homebuyers. This longer listing period will begin with properties starting on March 1, 2022.

Details for all HUD REO properties, also known as HUD Homes, can be viewed at the HUD Home Store website.
