Tony Smith (GRI, ABR, CRS), a REALTOR® from Charlotte, North Carolina, was the 2019 National Association of REALTORS® liaison for Region 4 comprised of Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

Tony is a second-generation North Carolina REALTOR® with over 35 years of experience in the real estate industry. He is a broker/owner at Wanda Smith and Associates located in Charlotte, where he specializes in residential real estate.

Tony has served on NAR’s Board of Directors numerous times since 2003. He is the Federal Policy Coordinator for Senator Thom Tillis.

He is a member of the North Carolina Association of REALTORS®, where he served as president in 2015.

His local board, Charlotte Regional REALTOR® Association, selected Tony as their REALTOR® of the Year in 2004. He was their president in 2003.

His areas of expertise include REO real estate sales, real estate financing with specific knowledge in FHA products 203(b) and 203(k). Tony serves on his local board’s Professional Standards Committee and is a state trained mediator.

Tony has spent many years supporting his local community as a donor and volunteer, providing aid to The Housing Opportunity Foundation, the North Carolina Wildlife Federation, and the North Carolina Girls' Chess Initiative.
