Realtors® Congratulate Montgomery on Official Confirmation as HUD Deputy Secretary

WASHINGTON (May 14, 2020) – National Association of Realtors® President Vince Malta issued the following statement after Brian Montgomery was officially confirmed as deputy secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Montgomery, who also serves as commissioner of the Federal Housing Administration, has held this role in an interim capacity since January 2019.

“Having served as FHA commissioner during one of the most critical periods for America’s housing industry, Brian Montgomery’s comprehensive experience in housing continues to greatly benefit this department, the real estate sector and our nation as a whole. NAR congratulates Mr. Montgomery on this long-awaited confirmation, and we look forward to continuing the work toward our shared goal of expanding homeownership opportunities for creditworthy Americans in every community,” said NAR President Vince Malta, broker at Malta & C, Inc., in San Francisco, CA.
