On Tuesday, the National Association of REALTORS® invited a diverse group of about 100 members from around the country to take its new learning-management system for a test drive. The idea is to test the platform's functionality and provide feedback so that the association can resolve any issues ahead of learning.realtor's Dec. 1 relaunch.

The Center for REALTOR® Development's previous learning-management system was plagued by website crashes, inconsistency with saving course progress, a dated feel, and mobile user experience limitations, NAR's Director of Member Learning Matt Geisreiter previously explained.

Member testers will spend roughly one or two hours between now and Sept. 30 testing the learning platform and reviewing the newly refreshed Marketing Strategy and Lead Generation course. Feedback on the course will also influence the work NAR is doing on four other CRD courses currently being overhauled for a Dec. 1 launch. With help from association executives and education directors, testers were recruited through a number of channels, including NAR’s Influencer Program and Leadership Summit.

This is the latest example of NAR's education arm proactively requesting and incorporating member input to build a better learning experience, Geisreiter says.

Just last week, he emphasized how crucial listening is, when discussing lessons learned from a pilot of the association’s new Verified Instructor Training: “The feedback we receive from members directly informs the direction of our learning strategy and helps ensure we are delivering education that meets the evolving needs of our members," he said.
