The National Association of REALTORS® has issued an alert warning members about fraudulent emails circulating that refer to a compensation program. The email claims the recipient has been selected and qualified for a federal compensation program. The fraudulent email will be from “Contactnarmember <contactnar.member[at]gmail.com>.”

“This email is not from NAR,” the warning from the association reads. “If you receive it, please do not click on any links or provide any personal information.”

NAR also warns members to beware of any email that appears to be from NAR leadership but originates from another email address.

NAR has reported this email scam to authorities.

“Always be vigilant in protecting your personal information,” NAR says in its warning. “If you receive requests for any personal information via phone or text originating from any phone number not known to you, do not respond.”

You can also check the legitimacy of any communication or requests from NAR by calling its Member Support team at 800-874-6500, or contacting NAR via live chat or email.
