NAR Fills VP Role Left Open After Margo Wheeler’s Death

Houston REALTOR® Jennifer Wauhob immediately assumes the position of vice president of association affairs for the rest of the year.

The National Association of REALTORS® announced Wednesday that Jennifer Wauhob, GRI, an agent with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Gary Greene in Houston, will fill the role of vice president of association affairs for the remainder of 2023. The seat was left open after the death of longtime NAR leader Margo Wheeler, who died from cancer in January. Wauhob will assume the role immediately.

“Jennifer’s commitment to this profession, her agents, and to U.S. real estate more broadly are evident to everyone who has had the privilege of getting to know her,” says NAR President Kenny Parcell. “We are confident that she will represent her fellow REALTORS® and the millions of U.S. consumers they serve every day in this role, as she has done herself as an agent in East Texas. All of us on NAR’s leadership team look forward to working with Jennifer to ensure this association is operating efficiently for our members and their clients in the weeks and months ahead.”

Wauhob leads a team of seven agents at her company. Last year, she was the chairperson of the Houston Association of REALTORS®, representing 50,000 members at the local level. She is annually recognized as a top producer and also was a recipient of the Emerald Elite Award for Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, which indicates she ranks in the top 2% of agents in the national brand.
