NAR leaders shared updates and ideas with association executives from around the country.
REALTORS® Legislative Meetings and Trade Expo

Many REALTOR® associations are looking for association executives. Shared services agreements and many other resources are available, and association staff can reach out to the National Association of REALTORS® for help.

During the Local Leadership Idea Exchange Council Closing Session at the REALTORS® Legislative Meetings & Trade Expo in Washington D.C., NAR General Counsel Katie Johnson updated members about recent lawsuits involving NAR. Members in attendance voiced appreciation for the C2EX program and are looking into getting more members involved. NAR has 20,000 members registered in the program so far. RPAC and how to increase participation was a hot topic as well.

Association mergers were discussed and members asked for guidance in creating value propositions to help them keep autonomy. NAR has resources to help, including human resources staff to assist associations in recruiting top talent in the association executive world as well.

During the idea exchange, members also asked NAR for an update on a potential heath and wellness program. Approximately 200,000 REALTORS®—or about 14 percent of members—do not have health insurance coverage. We are told to stay tuned, NAR is working on resolutions.
